Post 156 Post 156 of Waltham, Massachusetts was chartered on August 10,1920 and has honorably served Veterans and the Community ever since.

Post 156 home is located at 215 Waverley Oaks Road, and consists of social, meeting and event facilities for Post members and guests.

Post 156 consists of four organizations, The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and The Legion Riders. The Post groups support many fund-raising functions, and support numerous civic, veteran and non veteran groups, as well as the world famous Post 156 Legion Band.

We are a group of veterans just like you who care about our country, veterans, their families, and our nation's youth.

The American Legion has over 3 million members and over 1500 Posts world wide. The Legion is a powerful force in Washington and is dedicated to preserving the rights we earned and were promised by our service to our nation in uniform.


In addition to the members and guests only Lounge, the Post provides several halls and full kitchen for both Post functions and rentals to the community for weddings, birthdays, and many other events. Please Contact us for details.
